Finally, Almost Stable…

Hey everyone!

I just got a new place here in Orlando, Florida! Well, I’ve been here for a little over a year, but now I actually have my own place. So I’ll be really busy with getting settled in and all over the next couple of weeks.

What’s awesome though is that once I do finally get settled, I’ll have some time to start on a couple personal projects; or maybe finish one I’ve already started… Don’t hold your breath, because it could be a while! But if you’d like to know when I do post something up, you can follow my site and it’ll send you an update anytime I do.

Also, I’m currently seeking and available for new job opportunities here in the Orlando area. If you’re interested, don’t hesitate to contact me!

New Artwork!

Here’s just one little item among many that I’ve had the chance to work on at my current job!

Created for Carnival of Games on iOS and Android.

There will be much more posted in the future as these games and contents are released, hope you guys like it!

Title Change

So I’ve decided to change my professional title from “3D Character Artist” to “3D Game Artist.” Although I really enjoy doing character artwork, I have discovered at my current job that I am actually much more proficient than I thought at tackling other tasks. Notably environment and prop modeling and texturing, animation, creating particle effects in Unity 3D, and surprisingly, UI Art. No reason to only call myself a character artist when I’m just as good at all these other things right!?

Anyways though, sorry it’s been so long since my last update. I’ve been working at a start-up studio for about 4 months now and I’m just exhausted by the time I get home every night. It’s crunch time just about every week since we have such quick cycles.

BUT, all that hard work is really paying off. We have 2 games out so far with another being released in about a week! I’ve been the main artist on this 3rd game so when it’s released I’ll be posting a lot of artwork!

Eye-Gor Update 3 – 7/20/11

It’s been a couple of weeks, but I got some time in to fix a few issues I’ve been having with the mesh and to sculpt some more. I found that it’s amazingly easy to split a mesh into separate pieces in ZBrush, but incredibly difficult to put them back together. I ended up finding about 20 different ways that didn’t work, and 1 that worked perfectly.

Check out the new screenshots in the WIP section!
